Sails Ashore is all about exploring and enjoying the Island at your own pace. Your hosts, Iris & Peter, welcome you into our home and will be more than happy to share our knowledge of the Island with you.

We chose the name "Sails Ashore" to reflect the close relationship the Island enjoys with the sea. Overlooking Halfmoon Bay and the islands of Foveaux Straits beyond Sails Ashore is a short 4 minutes stroll from the village waterfront, set in a private native and flower garden. Guests enjoy their own wing, each room with a private entrance

We have only two rooms :-

 Port Room, King double/twin (disabled access)
Starboard, Mirror of Port (standard access)

Internal decor features extensive use of native Rimu timber, much of it salvaged from old logs, long sunk in a West Coast lake. Muted colours, original art and the best of fittings makes for a casual elegance. 

Sails Ashore is two night minimum stay, and is packaged with a "Sails" Guided Ulva Island walk.

Room tariff (2 guests) is $435 per night, the Guided walk is $115 per person.
