Q.: “How do we get from the plane or ferry to Sails Ashore or Kowhai Lane?”
A.: As long as we know how and when you'll be arriving we will pick up up on arrival.... and take you back when you depart.

Q.: “How do we get the discount on the plane”
A.: Once you have a confirmed booking with us we advise Stewart Island Flights that you will be staying at Sails Ashore or Kowhai Lane. Please note the discount is 10% off the STANDARD fare.

Q.: “If we arrive early can we get into our room then?.”

A.: This will depend on when the previous guests depart, and we have readied your room. If it's ready, then on arrival, if not it will be available around 1400 hrs. But not withstanding we will pick you up on arrival, greet you and give you some suggestions on things to do in the meantime.

Q.: “Do you have internet access?”
A.: Both Sails Ashore and Kowhai Lane have WiFi. There is also a local internet cafe.

Q.: “Do we have to do the packaged Ulva Island walk?”
A.: You will be charged for the walk, but whether you actually do it is up to you. But really Ulva Island is a "Must Do"

Q.: “I am travelling on my own, do I get a reduced room rate?. ”
A.: No, you will pay the full room rate, but you will only pay for a single packaged guided walk, even though the advertised pricing is based on 2 guests. And in addition we will take a single guest to Ulva, even though we are normally 2 people minimum for the walk.

Q.: “Is the Ulva Island walk difficult ?”
A.: It's very easy. We take around 3.5 hours to cover 1.5 k. We can avoid seps and hills if required. I have taken guests around in a wheelchair, and another who used calipers.
