We have lived here for almost 70 years between us and have enjoyed the company of numerous friends holidaying here. Watching, as well as being part of their enjoyment of the Island plus our experiences with guests over the past 10 years has given us a keen appreciation of just what is so special about Stewart Island.

Sails Ashore and Kowhai Lane offer from two to 5 couples the very best of accommodation while on the Island. Although we offer only accommodation, guided walks and road tours we know the good operators.
