With over 70 years combined Stewart Island residency and a background including Ranger in Charge, Commercial Fishing, Liveaboard Charter operators and Homestay Hosts we understand the Island very well. 

For smaller groups Sails Ashore and/or Kowhai Lane offer high quality accommodation, with room for your group to enjoy, without being in each others pockets.

For larger parties we know the best accommodation to use. Our smallest group has been 6, our largest  to date has been 22. Depending on requirements and lead time we could probably manage as many as 50.

While we don't personally offer such things as Kiwi Watching, Fishing, Kayaking, Diving and etc we DO know the best operators to use, and we can set it up as part of the package. 

As local ranger Peter was responsible for organising the logistics for research expeditions as well as general forest operations. These skills migrated into running our charter operation and are now useful for setting up your groups activities package.

We can fully package your program ex Invercargill.
